Hello Fiji!
It’s very beautiful here. I know I will be spending lots of time taking photos of Fiji flowers.
I arrived in Fiji first thing in the morning. It was strange because it had a very familiar feel and felt like when I arrived in the Philippines nearly eight years ago.
I couldn’t quite peg it, I have been to many other humid countries and yet this one felt different. It was only later that I realized it was the familiar feeling of humidity mixed with burning garbage.
But I don’t want to complain, it’s not that Fiji smells badly, it doesn’t at all. It doesn’t even smell like garbage. It just smells like something is burning. Don’t get me wrong, it doesn’t smell like garbage, just like something burning.
Burning and humidity, something that is very common in the Philippines.
So Air Pacific lost my luggage but I didn’t really care. About 30 people lost their luggage and they were all on the Los Angeles flight, we realized forgot to put our lost luggage on a container. I had planned to store my luggage at the airport while in Fiji but it turns out they were about to save me 16 bucks.
Score for me.
I waited for my ride to the Octopus Resort and did panic when he did not arrive at 8:30-9am like they said he would. I was reminded that we were on Fiji time and they would not forget me.
Okay I will try to be patient, and will take more photos of Fiji flowers because they aren’t something you can find in Canada and are so pretty. I cannot decide which is the prettiest the yellow or the pinkish red colours, what do you think?
